Double Happiness
Large red character in the center
囍 — shuāngxǐ
This is the “Double Happiness” symbol, formed by joining two 喜 (“happiness” or “joy”) characters. It is traditionally associated with weddings, marital happiness and good fortune.

English: “May there be abundant happiness and prosperity.” It is a traditional auspicious expression.
余 (“abundance/surplus”) sounds like 鱼 (“fish”), so fish imagery often accompanies the phrase.
